You’ve amazed ’em at the Holiday party…you’ve wowed ’em in the shower. Now it’s time to take your singing talent that next step and become AARP’s first Boomer Superstar. As part of our year-long celebration of Baby Boomers, we’re looking for the one undiscovered Boomer with that special star quality.
Finalists in AARP’s Boomer Superstar Contest will compete for a $5,000 prize before a live audience and a panel of celebrity judges including musician/producer Emilio Estefan and jazz/R&B vocalist Patti Austin.
The only qualifications: You need to have been born 1946 through 1964… and possess the kind of voice and presence that’ll have our judges asking, “Where have you been all our lives?”
Finalists in AARP’s Boomer Superstar Contest will compete before a live audience on September 5th at AARP’s Ideas@50+ event in San Diego, CA. Prizes include an audition with music label 19 Recordings, $5,000 cash, and the title AARP’s Boomer Superstar! Our panel of celebrity judges will include 19-time Grammy-winning musician/producer Emilio Estefan and Grammy-winning R&B/jazz vocalist Patti Austin.
