Chairs have been invited to be on the Westword Music Showcase Nominating
Committee as well as the Capitol Hill People's Fair VIP Entertainment
Jury.
Hard
Rock Music Committee
Objective: Promoting serious Rock Music and the interests of Hard
Rock Music artists of all genres in Colorado in conjunction with and
in addition to the regular COMA programs.

Music Directory
Objective: To
compile information and create a report defining the financial impact of
every aspect of music use and consumerism in the State of Colorado to be
used for various promotional purposes as well as in the seeking of grant
funds and other support from government or other potential benefactors.

Status: The
report is being held in abeyance pending creation and completion of a
comprehensive Music Directory (an extensive listing of music talent, venues,
enterprises and businesses within the state), at which time work will
resume, using the Directory as a tool.
Showcase Committee
Objective: To put together COMA
sponsored showcases.

Objective: Pursuing new technologies

Benefits Committee
Objective: Formed to increase
the benefits fo being a COMA member

Northern Colorado Committee
Objective: Promoting the interests
of Northern Colorado Music artists and businesses in Colorado in conjunction
with and in addition to the regular COMA programs.
Status: Currently holding regular
monthly meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at Archers in
Ft. Collins.

Christian Music Committee
Objective: To assist Christian
musicians through fellowship, education, and networking, and to encourage
glorifying Jesus Christ through our talents. This committee will also
promote outlets and venues for Christian artists.

The first committee meeting will be held at 4pm on November 18, 2001
at NorthWest Baptist Church, 7300 N. Zuni in Westminster. Committee
members are encouraged to attend the COMA meeting afterward. We will

Colorado Hip Hop Coalition
Objective: Creating
higher standards and expectations for Hip-hop performers in the State
of Colorado while positively effecting the community through Hip-hop
culture and it's artforms. Our motto is; Unity! Opportunity! Action!

Heavy Music Committee
Mission Statement: To bring all
the different Heavy music makers and supporters from the Colorado
area together, building a stronger local music scene. To let the world
know that Heavy music thrives in the Rockies

Classical Music Committee
Objective: Promoting the interests of
Jazz and Classical Music artists in Colorado in conjunction with and in addition to the
regular COMA programs.
Goals:
1. to expand the audience for jazz and classical music.
2. to create more performance opportunities for musicians
3. to provide a forum for problem solving (marketing, advertising, new venues, etc)
4. to provide an opportunity to network and socialize

Objective: Promoting the interests of
songwriters in Colorado in conjunction with and in addition to the
regular COMA programs.
