Events|

From Scotty Brown on Facebook: Seems like myself or the band are always the ones playing in these events but I am never the one putting on the event, but this time is different. I’ll be putting this one on and playing in it. This one is for my dear friend Nicolle T. Lingen, owner of the Pit Stop Bar and Grill, who has gone through more troubling times & sorrow than any one person should ever have to go through. Please come out and support her on February 8th.

We have 4 great bands lined up: Live to Tell Band (former members of FIVE 13, Fallen & God’s Day Off), Swerve, Psycho X and Guild Of Ages. Live to Tell kicks things off at 2:30 and Guild Of Ages closes it at 6:30. Beyond that, who knows what might happen on stage! We do need items or services to raffle off, so anyone wanting to donate to the cause please contact me personally on my Facebook inbox. Thanks to all of you, Scotty.

When: Sunday, Feb. 8th
Time: 2:30 – 6:30 p.m.

ORIENTAL OPRY – 2nd TUESDAYS OF THE MONTH – NEXT ONE FEBRUARY 10th

Jane Manly, an independent music promoter, presents the Oriental Opry the second Tuesday of every month. The mission is the promotion of astounding Colorado acoustic musicians. Each show features 5 musicians or groups for a 25 minute set. The show is run “Old Time Opry Style” — we sound check at 6:00 p.m. and run the show straight through. Often performers jump in and accompany others groups (with their permission of course!)

The Historic Oriental Theater (and Scott LaBarbara) and Jane are presenting the only local show of its kind in the Denver area. The continuation of the project depends on the support of our music community and attendance is growing steadily.

Where: Oriental Theater, 44th & Tennyson, Denver
When: February 10th
Time: Starting at 7:00 p.m. until around 10:00 p.m.
Cost: For just $5 you get an incredible variety show!
Ages: 21+

The show’s master of ceremonies is Joe Kellogg. Joe is a singer/songwriter whose songs have a comedic flare (ask him to play “I’m a Love Fracker”!)
