GBJ and BFFT are over but there’s still plenty of Festivals left this summer with tons of talent. Coming up is the 20th Annual Blues & BBQ for Better Housing on July 29th in Edgewater with My Blue Sky, Austin Young, The Symbols, John Weeks Band, The Duke Street Kings, Six Foot Joe and The Red Hot Rhinos, Cup A Joe, Funk Enuff, and Wild Love Tigress.
That same weekend has Blues Under the Bridge in Colorado Springs with The Blind Boys of Alabama, Bob Corritore and Big Jon Atkinson, the Paladins, Erica Brown with Movers and Shakers, and the Sugar Sounds. August has Blues and Brews on South Pearl with The Iguanas, John Nemeth, Kirkland Daniels Project, Dragondeer, Ricky Earl featuring Cherise, Whiskerman, the Deltaz.
Guitar Town, Durango Blues Train II and Bohemian Nights/New West Fest all have diverse lineups. The Carbon Valley Music and Spirits Festival has Dacono. Cracker, My Blue Sky, Kerry Pastine and the Crime Scene, Chris Daniels and the Kings, and more.
The Trinidaddio is back with the Fabulous Thunderbirds featuring Kim Wilson, John Primer an the Real Deal Blues Band, Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Chas, Tad Robinson & Alex Schultz, The Alexis P. Suter Band, Albuquerque Blues Connection, The Pleasure Pilots, and Jaquie Gipson. And the summer wrap-ups with the Telluride Brews and Blues Festival in September.
