The Denver Musicians Association (DMA) and the Colorado Music Business Organization (COMBO) have decided to work together on a few workshops and clinics. Dick Weissman, a member of both groups, has set up a clinic for Monday, September 21st from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the DMA Hall at 1165 Delaware, Denver. The guest speaker is Noah Peterson on “How to Book Your Own Paying Tour.”

Noah is originally from Montana but now lives in San Antonio, TX. He played saxophone in the Marine Corps Band. Dick met him in Portland where they both served 3 terms on the union board there. During that time, he put together a solo saxophone show, with looping. He has booked himself, literally, from Portland to Florida without using any agents. He also presents looping festivals, with himself and other artists. He’ll be doing one at The Mercury Cafe in Denver, and one in the Springs. He also plays washboard in a Zydeco band, and in various jazz and jazz-rock combos.

Noah owns his own record company, and has a bunch of videos on You Tube. He has really done well with the BMI Live thing, and he’ll talk about that as well.
