Guest speakers, including Chris Cheslin of FourCasters, will talk as to how they have mastered the art of “Busking” – or being a street performer in Colorado. We’ll cover the rules for busking in Denver, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Grand Junction, Durango, and Sterling – and others as info comes up. This will include whether you will need to have a permit, if you are allowed to ask for tips, if you can use a P.A., and if you need permission from the near-by businesses to stand on their corner!

Chris Cheslin is a member of FourCasters Band. He is a singer/songwriter/guitarist who has “busked” in several cities in Colorado and will be sharing his experiences with us. He has been “welcomed” and “thrown out” so he has been through it all!

The workshop is set for Saturday, January 23rd, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Santa Fe Room inside the Ramada Inn, 1150 East Colfax Avenue, Denver. Sponsored by the Wind River Restaurant & Bar! You are encouraged to come early and to order lunch and your favorite drink from the Wind River crew!

http://www.johndavidson.com | Busking in Denver! This is a funny but revealing video that was shot when John was appearing in “Wicked” in Denver. John decided to go “busking” on the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver. Watch this – we’ll have a test on it! (Well, more of a discussion!)

Two-Fors: Since Reid Fuchs has changed the Balanced Breakfast meeting schedule to the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, his meeting will fall on the same day as our workshop. So we suggest that you attend Balance Breakfast at 11:00 at the Mutiny Info Cafe on 1st & Broadway, Denver, then come over to the Ramada Inn’s restaurant, Wind River, have lunch, and stay for COMBO’s workshop on Busking!
