COMBO will present a DIY Band (and/or Artist) Workshop on Saturday, April 16th at the Ramada Inn, 1150 East Colfax Avenue (East Colfax & Marion), Denver. The workshop, mentored by COMBO president Barb Dye, will be held from 10:00 a.m. until noon, is free, and is open to all ages. We’re holding the workshop earlier in the day so you can be free to do other things the rest of the day including attending the Colorado Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday night!
We’ll cover how to turn your band into a money-making business and the ins & outs from accounting to touring, including basic copyright and trade name laws, booking, promotion, press releases, what makes a band “good”, and how to “manage” the band (when there are so many terrific, creative personalities involved).
