COMBO will hold its second general meeting/workshop Saturday, March 11th at 10:00 a.m. at Higher Ground Rehearsal Studios, 208 Commerce Street. Hosted by Jahna and Jason Eichel, the program will be presented by COMBO’s own David Barber who has a ton of experience along so many lines related to the “Business of Music.” David’s topic will be furthering the chapters of his e-book, “Gigging: Everything You Need To Know About Playing Gigs (Except How To Play Your Axe)”. David served as a doorman at Herman’s Hideaway for many years and saw it all! He’ll tell you how to make friends with the staff people so that you will get the most out of your gig – and get asked back!

David Barber, founding member and currently treasurer of the Colorado Music Business Organization (COMBO), shares everything young musicians and bands need to know about playing shows, including hiring staff, and getting along with the venue personnel charged with running the show. The ebook focuses on local and regional shows, and includes true stories of bands who have performed in various Denver venues.
