COMBO President Barb Dye will be presenting a “DIY Band Management” Workshop in Fort Collins at the Higher Ground Rehearsal Studios on Saturday, November 7th, from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. The class will cover what duties a manager should cover and what duties others should handle in order to advance the career of a band or of solo artists. A job description would include some booking, bookkeeping, laws, copyrights, trade name registering, different types of contracts, and lots more.

The class is free to attend but pre-registration is requested due to packets of information being handed out and we need to know how many to prepare.

COMBO SONGWRITING CONTEST WINNERS’ SHOWCASE AT HERMAN’S HIDEAWAY

COMBO and Herman’s Hideway will be presenting a showcase of the winning songwriters for COMBO’s recent 2015 Songwriting Contest. The showcase will start at 6:30 p.m. and will last for one hour. Confirmed so far and playing their songs will be Robbie Roberts (When You Turn Around), Jeffrey Dallet (Gypsy Jewel), and Joel Ashmore (Come Over).

Tickets for the show may be obtained from the performing winners or by calling COMBO at 720-570-2280 by Tuesday, November 3rd and leaving a message. We will make arrangements to get the tickets to you in time for the show!

COMBO WORKSHOP: “40 PLACES TO PROMOTE YOUR MUSIC IN COLORADO”

Hosted by local singer/songwriter Katey Laurel, COMBO will present a workshop on “40 Places to Promote Your Music in Colorado.” The workshop will focus on various ways to let the world know about you, your band, and/or your music mainly in Colorado although other places will be discussed as well. We’ll cover radio and television stations that will feature local artists and their music, newspapers, social media sites, promoters, music events, and more.

The location will be announced later but the time will be 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 14th. There is no cost to attend this workshop, and all ages are welcome.

FUNDRAISER FOR THE PSYCH PROGRAM – SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1st

Join Silvana Santinelli as she hosts a great musical collective with some of her favorite musical friends!

Come early and peruse the Silent Auction or arrive on time for our eclectic music showcase that features great musicians of all ages playing a wide range of musical styles.

From ‘Six Buns on a Bench’ with Mims Harris, Christy French and Bobbie Mielke to the rich sounds of Brahms played by local favorites Silvana Santinelli, Ron Francois and Charles Tucker to the jazz stylings of David and Wohl and Bobbie Mielke. We even showcase the up and coming talent of our gifted young musicians that are part of our PYCh Education Programs.
