This March, DIME Denver is hosting a month of music workshops, showcases, and an open house in advance of MSU Denver at DIME Denver’s Bachelors Degree programs launching this fall. Prospective students and the public are encouraged to come check out the DIME Denver pop-up space in the Tivoli Student Union (900 Auraria Parkway) during the free Open House and DIME Presents showcases, featuring up-and-coming Denver bands. Aspiring musicians can also get a taste of DIME Denver’s programs through specialized 2-hour workshops in guitar (blues, metal and acoustic), drum and songwriting for the cost of a dime.
DIME Denver is a modern music institute that allows young musicians to pursue careers in music while simultaneously earning their Bachelors degrees with MSU Denver. Rather than focus on Classical and Jazz music, MSU Denver at DIME Denver Bachelors degrees in Music Performance (Drums, Bass, Guitar, and Vocals), Songwriting and Music Industry Studies to prepare students for practical, real-world preparation for a successful career in the music industry upon graduation. The programs are taught by experts who are still heavily involved in the industry and can bring their experience into the classroom.
During the open house, attendees will get a preview of classes offered with short workshops, including the Live Performance Workshop, which prepares students to play on stage with professional gear to the highest professional standard. There will also be the opportunity to talk to MSU Denver and DIME Denver team members to learn more about the programs.
