Denver Open Media’s Music Sessions Presents the First Friday

On the first Friday of each month, DOM hosts a community event with local performance groups, musical acts and nonprofit partners. These events are broadcast live on Comcast Channel 57 in Denver as well as streamed on DOM’s website.  Events are cablecast and streamed live in Denver Open Media’s Studio A.

Join DOM for this month’s Open Music Sessions on Friday, June 5th, featuring a live musical performance by Straight White Teeth.

Straight White Teeth

The bright-eyed and enigmatic, indie pop artist Patrick McGuire is born again. The vocalist and songwriter, who the Houston Press has described as “utterly compelling,” is opening a new door and taking the autonomous reigns of his musical career, after parting ways with band Flashbulb Fires. Patrick is a consummate artist with an angelic instrument that yearns to be heard. Like a new chapter in a book, McGuire will continue to do what he has always done best, which is to create lush and meaningful music.

When: Friday, June 5th
Where: Denver Open Media Studios, 700 Kalamath Street, Denver, CO
Time: Doors at 7:00 p.m. | Live Show 8 – 10:00 p.m.

Soaps, Shampoos, etc., Needed for Homeless

Got a bunch of those little bottle of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, or little soaps laying around that you brought home from your stays in hotels and motels? Annette Cannon reminded us that she really could use those to help stuff care bags for the homeless.

Please bring them to the Guitar Show as COMBO will have a booth there so we’ll be glad to “recycle” them for you. And if you don’t have any now, how ‘bout picking them up the next time you go out of town and bring them back with you. Betcha you never thought of giving them to help out less fortunate people.
