B.J. “Beej” Moncivais

From Andrew Harrison: My heart is heavy today. Most people don’t even possess an ounce of the joy this man exuded. This world misses you Beej, but I know you’re worshiping your buns off in heaven right now slappin’ the skins for the One who took all your sins. RIP Beej. You were a great friend with a mighty heart.

BJ’s resume:
Owner-operator at Valmon Records; Percussionist at Thrive Church; Worked at River of Life Media; Worked at Hand Percussionist for Tyree Morris, and Hearts Of Worship; Worked at Drum Instructor at YWAM Denver School Of Worship Spring 2013; Former Hand Percussionist/ Congerro at Impacto De Fey; Worked at Betweentime; Former Percussionist at Faith Bible Chapel; Former MDTS Outreach at Gleanings for the Hungry; Former Student at YWAM Denver; Former Grunt, Postal Clerk, Commanding General”s Secretary at United States Marine Corp; Studied at Antelope Valley College; Studied at YWAM Denver; Went to Abraham Lincoln High School, Denver, CO; Went to Roaring Fork High School; Lived in Denver, Colorado.

Jessica Nicole Jones: My heart is heavy.. but that would be the most selfish thing to feel considering Beej is rejoicing like never before, being in heaven with the Savior. It was an honor getting to know someone as life filled and pure-hearted as this man.

“How do you know if someone needs encouragement? They’re breathing.” I feel like BJ abided by this statement. He’s been there to encourage everyone around him even when it wasn’t asked for. And especially when he needed the encouragement himself!! He was always faithful to minister out of his own need, and I know that God was so faithful back to him because you could see God’s goodness all over BJs attitude. Always. & Gosh he was so sensitive to the spirit of God!! There were times I was struggling spiritually, and thought I was doing well with putting up a front and he would literally just walk up to me and pray out loud in front of everyone for peace in my heart! I used to get so mad!?? Mostly because I wanted to keep things to myself, ha, ha. BUT BJ had such a graceful way of reminding me that we don’t hide from God and we shouldn’t hide what we’re going through from the people that love us.. I Always had to end up being real with this guy. Just like he was real with everyone else.. I’m so happy you’re in a better place.. but I hope you realized just what a treasure you were to us here on the earth..

P.S. I hope you get to wear all the liner you could ever want, and play every single drum in heaven. Rest easy BJ.

B.J. was in the band Heaven Bound
