INTERESTING BITS: Boulder Valley / Nederland School District Cutting Music Funding

Nederland Middle School

From Barbara Hardt on Fb, 5/14/18: MORE bad decisions by administration. My personal belief is that this has been a decades long process to eliminate our mountain schools. The administration is cutting back our music funding once again. They’re changing the structure of other programs as well. They’re letting at least 3 teachers go (with the option they can apply again for their position which has gone to part time). At least 2 other teachers are leaving for other schools.

If YOU support music education, please contact Roy Holloway. He is in charge of the music curriculum for BVSD. His phone number is 720-561-5085 and email is [email protected]

BVSD – STOP dumping millions into a building that will be empty in the future. You’re running off the families that have fought hard to stay up here. Despite the housing crisis, we CHOOSE to bring our kids to Ned. Support our teachers AND our students! Find other ways to change the budget!!
