The International Bluegrass Music Association recognizes performers and recordings, like other music industry groups, at its annual conference. There are also special Industry Awards for professionals working behind the scenes: bluegrass journalists and broadcasters, liner notes writers and graphic artists, and sound engineers. Anna Frick is one of five nominees for Sound Engineer of the Year; Industry Award winners are selected by a large group of electors chosen from among industry veterans.
Send congrats too, to Anna’s husband Dustin Boyd, nominated for Industry Engagement, a Momentum Award that recognizes bluegrass pros in the early part of their careers.
Awards are announced on Sept 25.
