Chris Mauna & Adam Cave – Arvada West High School (from Facebook)

Chris Maunu on Facebook: I am so humbled and honored to share that I am 1 of 10 educators in the United States named as a CMA Country Music Association National Music Teacher of Excellence! Aleisha, my principal Geree Santarelli, and myself will be flown to an event next month in Nashville hosted by country superstar Dierks Bentley to receive the award and the $5,000 prize. I am SO grateful for all of the love and support from thousands of students, family, friends, and colleagues – but especially for Aleisha, who has been my rock for a decade and such an incredible partner as I’ve navigated through this amazing profession. I love you!
