KUDOS: COMBO’s Winning Songwriters’ Showcase & Awards Show Held Nov. 18th
COMBO recently ran a Songwriting Contest where 19 songs were selected by our judges to be included on a compilation CD that will be given out to music professionals all over the country. Those songwriters were asked to showcase their songs during our Awards Celebration which honored Colorado music-related businesses for their contributions to helping out musicians throughout the state. “Fifty Cent Friend” took the stage to play many of their own award-winning originals. The band featured COMBO’s own Joel Ashmore on Bass, Doug Moe (guitar), Steve Fitzgerald (drums), Felix Abrams (vocals) and Guido Valeri (keys). The Hard Rock Café was a great place to hold this event – perfect venue, the food was good, and the staff was GREAT!
Showcase performances were by Kenzie Culver, Michael Morrow with Randy Mossman, Melissa & Jason Lycan, Jeffrey Dallet, Erik Nelson, Marisa Nikole, Andy Palmer, and Spencer Townshend Hughes and Jonathan Bray of The Hollow. Jenny Shawhan presented her new single release of “On She Goes” with Fifty Dollar Friend backing her up.
