Congratulations to Nolan Carroll, winner of the “Hawaiian-style Guitar Shirt”, and the 4 shakers went to David Covett, Charlie Knapp, Shane Smith, and Tony Airozo. Duane Evarts put together a terrific show and there were hundreds of gorgeous guitars and other instruments on display as well as for sale – all made by Colorado luthiers. The show was sponsored by Guitar Show Magazine, and was held at Lutheran High School in Parker, Colorado.

KUVO Celebrates “30 Under 30″

Saxophonist Rico Jones didn’t get serious about music until he started attending Denver School of the Arts, where he was inspired by his peers.
Now, Rico doesn’t go a day without playing his sax and others are noticing his dedication and skill. Rico was recently one of 32 high school students nationwide selected for 2015 Grammy Camp.
“The purpose of music is to make a statement, whether it’s personal or whether it pertains to cultural things,” Rico said.
