From Melanie King (on Facebook – May 22, 2014)
Today I took on a new job project and turned down another: Here is my declination letter: Never felt so good saying NO. Never compromise your personal integrity for a paycheck.
“Thank you for the materials so that I may better understand the project. Unfortunately, I do not think I am a good fit. This project would require me to work with musicians in a manner that is inconsistent with the message that I carry as an artist advocate, always looking out for their best interests over that of a money-making marketing venture. I see the value in what you are doing, I just don’t think believe we are a good fit. Good luck with your pursuit. Thank you.”
Melanie.
