Annette Cannon, 8/15/16: Mary Sue Thompson, a beautiful, talented young lady, passed the other day. I met her and heard her audition years ago at Vincent B.’s station in Boulder. Her voice was amazing. Although I didn’t know her on a personal level, she was friends with many of my friends, and I wanted to give her this mention and send prayers to the family and friends. RIP Mary Sue.

Obituary for Mary Sue Thompson
(November 28, 1996 – August 13, 2017)

Mary Sue Thompson, age 20, passed away on August 13, 2017 as the result of injuries received in a car accident. Mary Sue is survived by her parents, Jon and Monique, her sisters, Laura Rose, Charlotte, Margaret, and Sadie and brother-in-law Nathan; grandparents, Jack and Mandy Robichaux, Richard Thompson, and Susan Perkins; a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins, and her boyfriend Burton Dines.

She was an active part of the Fort Collins community all her life. She graduated from Rocky Mountain High School in 2015. She was a passionate and talented singer and songwriter who won numerous awards for her work. She expressed her heart through music and loved collaborating with others.

After a successful sales career at T-Mobile, she was planning to begin classes at UC Denver this fall with the goal of establishing a career in production and management in the music industry. She was an incredible and loyal daughter, sister, and friend who cared deeply for everyone. She had a kind heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and a gift for encouraging others. She was determined, gifted, joyful, and beautiful and had a strong faith in God. She was deeply loved by her family and her friends. She will be forever remembered and missed for her passion for music, her heart for those she loved, and the light she gave to all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held for Mary Sue this Friday, August 18th at 6 p.m. at Summitview Church at 1601 W. Drake in Fort Collins. Her family would appreciate photos and written memories at the service. Flowers can be sent to Summitview Church on Friday afternoon.
