Tommy Nuhulu and Roger Armstrong (from Tommy’s Facebook page)

Tommy Nuhulu on Roger Armstrong: I am struck and still stuck deep in sadness by the passing of a very dear friend. Cancer made him fight and forced him to endure it’s harsh reality over the past year, but he did it courageously and with the same sweet smile and heartfelt hug he was known to share with everyone for as long as I’ve known him. Hate losing longtime friends like him, but remain grateful to have shared so many incredible times with him. I’ll be forever grateful for his support and great friendship. Will miss his laughter.

Roger, if you can hear me…Mahalo, brother!

Tomorro Munoz: Broke my heart when I heard this news! I spent many years on the People’s Fair committee with Roger and he was such a good guy! RIP, Roger, you will be missed!

Cliff Hamilton: Good Lord, Roger, why am I writing this?! You have always been the best of the BEST! Why You??? You always looked so young and healthy. I can’t stop crying. You had that beautiful smile, great personality, and even better sense of humor. I can’t say enough good things about you so I won’t even try. I can still see you at the William Tennent Reunion, taking awesome pictures. I miss you too much already. You strongly deserve the Grace of God. Bless you and your family and friends. I can only pray I can see you again. Peace, my friend.
