Quote of the Week|

Ralph Marston: There are plenty of difficult obstacles in your path – Don’t allow yourself to become one of them.

From The Indie Bible:
If you think that you are going to have a successful music career because you have your songs on iTunes and some videos on YouTube, you are on a fool’s journey.

Getting “known” when there are millions of artists striving for the same goal takes a lot of WORK and incredible PERSISTENCE!

There are no exceptions … no special cases.

If you are to succeed you need to BUILD an awareness of your music, not just a FEW places, but EVERYWHERE!

First, a reality check.

Your music isn’t special. It’s just music. A few unique droplets from an ocean of a billion songs. A higher expression of you that some people will absolutely love, some will like, others will dislike, and some will hate.

That’s all music is.

Whether you succeed or not always comes down to the marketing.

I know it sounds harsh, but it’s the truth.

And keep in mind, it doesn’t matter how great your music is …. THERE IS NO QUICK PATH TO SUCCESS!

If you can accept this truth, and change your attitude and vision accordingly …. you WILL succeed!

If you are willing to take the time to send PERSONALIZED e-mails to bloggers, music reviewers, radio hosts, distributors, labels, promotional services and management services, you can build a solid, long-lasting career.
