The Colorado Music Business Organization announces its Third Annual Songwriting Contest has ended. We should have the winners ready to announce on September 10th. COMBO will put the top scoring songs on a compilation CD and hand deliver to publishers, music supervisors, record company people, and producers that have agreed to accept them, along with a cover letter telling a little about COMBO and about each of the songs, like who the writers thought the song might be good for, i.e., this country song might be good for Carrie Underwood.
We’ll also be putting all entrants names in the hat (literally) and will be drawing one name for a FREE ENTRY to this year’s DURANGO SONGWRITERS EXPO at the Omni Interlocken Hotel & Resort in Broomfield, October 1st – 3rd. We’ll let that winner know right away and will announce the name via our Facebook page and in the September 10th newsletter as well.
