Greetings! I am the founder of the Columbus Songwriters Association, a non profit organization in Columbus, Ohio with over 300 songwriters involved as members.
I’m a songwriter myself. I’ll be driving across the United States in Mid-April, to co-write with a composer in Santa Barbara. I’m hoping to meet other associations along the way, do some co-writing, and performances.
I’d love to learn about your organization, share everything I’ve learned about music community in Columbus, and hopefully find a host for new experiences in Colorado during my drive out West.
Also, if any member of your organization will be at SXSW this year, I’ll be presenting a panel on Thursday, 3/17 with Linda Lorence, VP of SESAC, Kate Becker, Head of Seattle Film + Music Office, and Don Pitts, Music Program Director for the Austin Music Commission, about how cities are supporting local music. I’d love to meet up with any members that may be in Austin then!
