From Chris on Facebook, 4/23/17: We have two pound puppies in our family and I was walking them Friday. Unfortunately, a person walking their terrier and talking on their cell phone had no leash for their dog. As I approached her I repeatedly asked her to get control of her dog. Long story short — clueless. So the terrier went directly for one of our two little dogs (both on leashes).

I was able to get Joni (little dog) out of the terrier’s mouth (she was pretty mangled but is going to make it). In the process my hands got pretty crunched. Sadly, dog’s mouths are full of really bad germs and my right hand got severely infected. So my doc sent me to the hospital. I’m still there but improving. I was able to get out last night to play with the Kings for the 33rd at Nississ’s but they insisted I come back. With luck I will be out Monday morning.

Thanks to all the amazing folks who came out to Nissis’ last night, we had a great night despite the funky looking bandage on my right hand. Big hugs to all. CD

UPDATE FROM CHRIS, 4/23/17: Hey One and All: Thanks for the love and wonderful notes. I’m gonna be fine. They don’t think the infection got into the tendons — they will keep me one more day to do more IV antibiotics – as our song said, “It could have been worse.”

As far as the other dog and owner, the city of Erie requires it to be reported and it was. It’s called a vicious dog attack and the dog is quarantined — that is SOP. The lady feels terrible about it and has promised to cover vet and medical bills. The take away of the story, if there is one, is that all animals (including humans) are unpredictable. Dogs have thousands of years of DNA that is hunt/kill coded. That is what the leash laws are for. This lady was… sadly… clueless …. she didn’t even have a leash with her! She thought of her dog as the cute family pet … as we all do … but she didn’t also understand that there is another side to all animals It’s a wake up call for her and her family. As far as Joni goes, she’s doing much better. Thank you all for the love… big, big hugs from the two finger typer! CD

Machine Gun Kelly Leaves Stage with Severe Chest Pain

Machine Gun Kelly’s concert was delayed when severe chest pain forced him off stage to get medical assistance. MGK grabbed at his chest multiple times while performing at Seminole Casino in South FL … and eventually couldn’t stand the pain anymore. He walked off in the middle of doing his hit, “Bad Things.”

According to Kelly’s reps, paramedics had to come check him out at the venue. It wasn’t a heart issue … turns out Kelly was injured while shooting the movie “Captive State” a day earlier. We’re told he’s doing some of his own stunts on the flick, and as he described it … got “punched in the chest 65 times.”

Unclear what the diagnosis is — broken ribs or just bruised — but MGK toughed it out, and finished the show. He was still in pain though, and gladly accepted (*cough cough*) herbal remedies from a fan.
