Governor Jared Polis released a seventh amended public health order that includes new guidance for outdoor events. This is exciting news, but there is a lot of work to be done before outdoor events will be able to begin the application and permitting processes. Various City and County of Denver agencies are working to review the guidelines and finalize a city-wide process and schedule to accommodate outdoor events that can comply with the new guidance. We will provide updates on our progress as soon as possible.

What we can confirm at this time is:

● No outdoor events will be permitted to take place before July 10, 2020.

● The City will begin by assisting events that have applications and permit requests already in progress, scheduled to occur on or after July 10.

● The City will begin to accept applications and permit requests for new events at a later date, which will be announced soon.

Thank you for your continued patience as we work out these details. The Office of Special Events and other city agencies remain committed to doing all we can to help special events return to Denver parks and streets.
