COMBO president Barb Dye and VP Annette Cannon at last year’s Five Points Jazz Festival!

By David Sachs, Denverite | The virus may be taking in-person performances away from Denver, but it’s not killing the music.

The annual Five Points Jazz Festival will happen May 16 in the form of a two-hour event broadcast on a whole rack of stages: Rocky Mountain PBS (6 to 8 p.m.), KUVO 89.3 FM (8 to 10 p.m.), http://www.kuvo.org and ArtsandVenues.com/5PJF, as well as the and Facebook channels for KUVO, Rocky Mountain PBS and Denver Arts & Venues.

“This is a citywide event that has grown in popularity and attendance, and it’s like a coming out party for music lovers of all ages,” said Carlos Lando, General Manager of KUVO Jazz. “The best way to keep the party going is for all of us to get together, bringing the festival into your home, connecting you to our Five Points neighbors and to people throughout the city.”
