Colorado Music-Related Business|

By Erin Perkins, MSN | Not satisfied with 11 locations, burrito and taco joint Illegal Pete’s plans to expand again to 4411 West Colfax. This puts the new shop close to the newly opened Little Man Ice Cream Factory.

“We’re excited to join a prominent corner in the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood, which has so much history,” says Illegal Pete’s founder Pete Turner. “With Little Man Ice Cream, we look forward to activating a shared courtyard between us as an engaging space for families to play in, shared events and other fun interactions.” There’s already plans for boozy shakes and other fun collaborations with the sweets shop.

The Illegal Pete’s team, which got its start in Boulder in 1995, earned a reputation as a funky, fast-casual brand and music friendly business, providing free meals to touring artists and funding the local Greater Than Collective record label.

The new Illegal Pete’s store is set to open in May 2020.
