Our annual Holiday Party was held this past Sunday at Tony P’s Pizzaria. We had a nice turn-out and COMBO pitched in $10 toward all attendees’ meals and drinks. Door prizes from NARAS (the Grammys), ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC were given out as well as “goody bags” with info and schwag from our business sponsors: CODA, Colorado Sound, MediaFast, SoundTown, Making Music Magazine, Songwriting and Music Business, and Eyedea Worx.

We also want to give a special shout-out to our member musicians who entertained us! Ryan Chrys, Mark Risius (both winners of COMBOs 2013 & 2014 Songwriting Contests), Karen Gerdine, Andy Ard, Steve Werges (both COMBO vice-presidents), and new members The Redheads, a/k/a Britta & Brooke Dodgen (more on them later!)

Plus – It was really good to see pro musicians / teachers / friends Dick Weissman, Rod Buckner (former VP of COMBO), and Storm Gloor again!

On Friday, November 21, 2014 Denise and Michael Matthews lost their home of 20 years, and all of their belongings to a fire in Fortine, Montana. We are all grateful that they both made it out and Michael was taken to the hospital to have burns treated that resulted from him trying to put out the blaze. The timing of this unfortunate event comes shortly after Michael’s first chemo treatment for cancer so they need all of the support that we can give them, spiritually, physically as well as financially. Unfortunately they had no insurance! Please help us reach our goal and take part in helping the Matthews’ family start a new chapter in their lives. Let’s give them hope that good things can and do happen everyday. God Bless & Thank You!
