Congratulations|

A young Colorado Blues Society member was recently jamming across the Atlantic in Paris. Daniel Simmonds is a 12 year old middle schooler in Longmont Colorado, who attends Flagstaff Academy. Daniel was fortunate to recently go back to Europe with his parents to visit relatives and friends.

Daniel found himself in the packed multinational venue called Le Caveau des Oubliettes. It is in the Latin Quarter of Paris, a stones throw from the Notre Dame Cathedral. It is an actual cave that once held prisoners awaiting the guillotine (talk about the blues!!!) They love their blues and have jam session on most nights. This session was with a French blues artist named Jonathon Chabbey. His band played for the first 90+ minutes and then it became a jam. It was packed (recent covid test verified at the door) with French and Italian musicians. Jonathon was kind enough to lend Daniel his guitar.
