Denver songwriter, guitarist and singer Rob Roper released his new full-length album, “The Way,” on November 9th. Musically, it covers several sub-genres of rock, ranging from metal to grunge to folk-rock to reggae to psychedelic garage rock to punk to post punk. Lyrically the topics include social and political commentary, failed love, and life lessons learned over time.

Co-produced and engineered by Jeff Kanan at The Keep Recording in Denver, Rob sings lead vocals and played most of the rhythm guitar tracks, and a top notch group of Denver musicians filled out the rest, including Jeremy Lawton (Big Head Todd and the Monsters) and Dave Preston (Jake Shimabukuro). Brent Loveday (Reno Divorce) and Jonny Barber make guest appearances on the song, “Mama Had a Mohawk.”

“The Way” CDs will be available at Twist and Shout record store, CD and downloads will be available on Rob’s Bandcamp site ( and of course the album will be available on all the major streaming services.

The first single from the album, “Metadata (We’re Watching You),” was released on October 12 and features a video produced by COMBO member Jamie Krutz. It can be seen at
