Arvada, CO – Please join local band Slopeside for an evening of music benefitting Humanekind on Saturday, November 9th from 8 to 11pm. This fall concert will be held on the second floor of the Arvada Tavern, with organizers hoping to inspire people to give time, coats, clothes and a little extra thought to an important resource for the homeless community. Come support the cause, enjoy the music and learn more about how to make a difference in our world.

The HumaneKind goal is to breakdown social barriers, connecting all walks of life while supporting those in need and bringing our community together.
Just imagine how many more acts of kindness would occur if we weren’t afraid to connect with those around us. How different would our world look if the social barriers that divide us disappeared? Without age, background, race, or status; the face of friendship takes on a whole new look. You can take a glimpse into this world with HumaneKind Project. We have created a number of projects all designed to bridge the divide between social classes, but by far the most popular program is our Block Parties for the Homeless. Once a month, a team of volunteers heads to Civic Center Park with food, coffee, clothing, music, games, and open hearts. The program isn’t just about donating goods, but also donating time to treat in-need individuals as humans. The results have been truly inspiring: unlikely friendships have been formed, dance parties have been had, stories have been shared, and real human connections have been made. This program is so unique in its way to show us how alike we all are, and how important it is to be look past first judgements…you never know how special someone is until you just say hello.

The Colorado based band Slopeside crafts a unique sound in the Mile High music scene with an eclectic blend of singer songwriter rock, blues and pop. The band has been performing everywhere from intimate settings, festivals and large amphitheaters throughout the state and surrounding areas since 2005.
Slopeside performs original music and songs from well known artists. With four full length original albums released, and a fifth in the works, the band mates of Slopeside keep a steady pace.
Described as “a band with a big heart”, Slopeside takes great pride in getting involved with as many charity benefits as they can. Slopeside has had huge success helping raise awareness and thousands of dollars for charities in Colorado communities through their own music concert series called Fireside House Concerts.
