When the Music Stops poster

The Armory Denver is proud to announce “When The Music Stops”, a documentary style film exploring the pandemic’s impact on Colorado’s music industry through interviews and artist performances. The funding of the production will be made possible through a recently launched Kickstarter Campaign. A trailer for the campaign is also available on The Armory Denver Youtube Channel

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The music industry was the first closed and will be the last to fully reopen. When The Music Stops will feature interviews from music industry veterans as well as exclusive live performances from Colorado favorites Kid Astronaut, Wildermiss, Kayla Marque, Rob Drabkin, The Patient Zeros, Wes Watkins, Izcalli, Kaitlyn Williams, and Jen Korte aka LadyGang.

“This film will be produced by The Armory Denver with a film production staff composed of artist professionals left grounded without work in Colorado during the pandemic. Our team has come together to shine a light on the devastation faced by our peers during these unprecedented times.” says, Sam Krentzman, CEO of The Armory Denver.

The Armory Denver team is composed of formerly touring technical and artist professionals. This project was conceived as an emergency response to the total loss of work and identity faced by the music industry over the past year. Fifty percent of the proceeds from the month-long premiere period for the film will be contributed to The Colorado Music Relief Fund. This fund benefits local industry professionals and artists during these difficult times, and is administered by Redline Arts.
