Join the Golden Eagle Concert Band for an uplifting afternoon of joyous and colorful music composed by some of the world’s greatest composers, including Americans Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein and Harold Arlen, from Europe, music composed by Russian Dmitri Shostakovich, from Italy, Giuseppe Verdi and Gioachino Rossini and from Germany, Richard Strauss.

Enjoy composer Steve Reineke’s composition Defying Gravity which depicts adventures in the sky above the clouds, fighting the way through a turbulent storm. Leonard Bernstein’s Slava! is considered a political overture as part of cellist Mstislav “Slava” Rostropovich’s inaugural concert as music director of the National Symphony Orchestra. Reminisce to Rossini’s William Tell Overture finale as the Lone Ranger rides again. Discover new worlds with Strauss’s Also Sprach Zarathustra. And be soothed by the brass melody of Verdi’s Triumphal March from the opera Aida. And much more!
