It’s that time of year again, when South By Southwest opens up voting for potential panels at next year’s conference. I’m hoping you could take a minute to vote for the one I’ve organized that will focus on music business education. You can vote at the link below that contains more info about the proposed panel:

Thanks!

We Don’t Need No (Music Biz) Education…Or Do We?

While the music business can certainly be learned through the School of Hard Knocks and sheer experience, many colleges and universities continue to add and/or further develop music business education as part of their curriculum. Traditional and non-traditional students gain valuable knowledge and experience from these programs. Programs can be quite comprehensive, covering all parts of the industry and providing hands-on experiences. Graduate programs are available as well. There are also plenty of other learning resources available to fit one’s needs, no matter what. This discussion will center on the benefits of a music business education and how to best pursue it.
