The Xi Pi Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., announces the return of the Omega Showboat Extravaganza XII to the Hotel Elegante Colorado Springs on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Come and join us for a spectacular evening of live entertainment, food and fun. The purchase of your ticket will provide valuable scholarship support for our local college-bound students.
The Omega Showboat began in 1941 in New York City as a fundraising event, with the proceeds used to assist deserving youth who needed financial assistance to pursue their college degrees. On November 8, 2003, the Omega Showboat made its inaugural appearance in Colorado Springs, with more than 300 patrons and last year topping ticket sells of over 400. The event is predicted to again exceed expectations with a great lineup of local talent to entertain for the evening. This event is sponsored by; The Xi Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and it’s Uplift Foundation, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt public supported charity. Over the last 12 years, the Xi Pi Chapter, through its Uplift Foundation, has awarded over $70,000 in scholarships.
