Our wonderful friend, Ward Harston, has been fighting for his life, due to a car accident on March 18th, 2015.  He is a genius musician and plays over 30 instruments. Ward even shared his musical passion with my son who currently plays saxonphone all over the world and also teaches.

Ward is on a ventilator and mostly paralyzed.  There has been small improvements over the last couple of weeks, but he will be unable to work and pay his bills for a very long time. When he gets stronger, he will be going to a rehab facility to fight his hardest life’s battle. Ward has always given to the community and children through his music. Whatever we can pay forward to him would be a blessing and so gratefully appreciated.  Thank you so much for including him in your prayers, also.

[There apparently was no insurance to help Mr. Harston so please donate whatever you can. Just remember if 100 people pitch in $10 each, that’s another $1,000 to help Mr. Harston out.]

Taylor Swift’s Mother Andrea Diagnosed With Cancer: Read Taylor’s Emotional Note

The Grammy winner, 25, posted a note to Tumblr on Thursday morning, April 9, under a header reading “Just so you know…” Prioritizing her mother’s privacy, Swift kept the details about Andrea’s diagnosis vague.

“I’m writing to you with an update I wish I wasn’t giving you, but it’s important and I’m used to sharing important events in my life with you,” the country-turned-pop star began in her letter to her supporters. “Usually when things happen to me, I process them and then write music about how I feel, and you hear it much later. This is something my family and I thought you should know about now.”

“For Christmas this year, I asked my mom that one of her gifts to me be her going to the doctor to get screened for any health issues, just to ease some worries of mine,” Swift continued of her mother Andrea, 57. “She agreed, and went in to get checked. There were no red flags and she felt perfectly fine, but she did it just to get me and my brother off her case about it. The results came in, and I’m saddened to tell you that my mom has been diagnosed with cancer.”

Swift and her brother Austin, 23, are the two children of Andrea and Scott Swift. The “Style” singer has been outspoken about her tight-knit relationship with her mother, telling the Great American Country network in 2008, “My mom and I have always been really close. She’s always been the friend that was always there. There were times when, in middle school and junior high, I didn’t have a lot of friends. But my mom was always my friend. Always.”

The performer is standing by her mother in her tough time, and encouraged fans to make sure their parents are in good health.

“I’d like to keep the details of her condition and treatment plans private, but she wanted you to know,” Swift continued in her note. “She wanted you to know because your parents may be too busy juggling everything they’ve got going on to go to the doctor, and maybe you reminding them to go get checked for cancer could possibly lead to an early diagnosis and an easier battle… Or peace of mind in knowing that they’re healthy and there’s nothing to worry about. She wanted you to know why she may not be at as many shows this tour. She’s got an important battle to fight.”

“Thank you for caring about my family so much that she would want me to share this information with you,” the star added. “I hope and pray that you never get news like this.”
