My father knows nothing of music. In fact, I think he is tone deaf. I do not believe he has any musical ability at all.
(On the other hand, my mother loves music. She loved playing the piano and, in fact, she played in church for many years.)
But my father paid for my piano lessons. It wasn’t cheap. He also drove me to every piano lesson every single week for 13 years. If I have any musical skill, my father made it happen.
I will never forget that.
