KSKE PRESENTS THE EAGLE, CO, SECTION OF THE COUNTRY SHOWDOWN
The 75th Eagle County Fair and Rodeo is proud to present the Country Showdown, America’s #1 Country Music Talent Search! The last artist standing earns $100,000 and a shot at Country Music stardom.
KSKE Ski Country Radio is hosting a local competition on Wednesday, July 23, and Thursday, July 24, at the Eagle County Fairgrounds in Eagle, CO. The contest will take place in the rodeo arena from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.
Wednesday evening is open to 12 musical acts – 6 finalists will move onto Thursday. If more than 12 entries are submitted, Ski Country radio will select who will compete.
To be selected for the KSKE local competition, submit the entry form listed at the URL!
(If you’re selected, we’ll send you the registration form, which must be completed and turned in with the one-time $20 entry fee in advance of the local contest.)

KBKZ AND KCRT PRESENT THE COUNTRY SHOWDOWN IN TRINIDAD AND RATON
We’ll send more info on this soon but you can write these dates down:
Saturday, July 19th at the Mt. Carmel Festival in Trinidad, Colorado, and
Sunday, August 3rd in Raton, NM. This year’s Raton winner will compete in the Colorado State Contest so you won’t have to drive clear to Acoma, NM! (Pronounced Ak-oh-mah down there!)
Raton will also host the Regional Contest at the Shuler Theater later this year.

DENVER AREA DURANGO SONGWRITERS’ MEET & GREET – JULY 15th
Join Expo co-Founder Jim Attebery and other famous (and infamous!) Durangonians at our annual Meet and Greet in the Denver/Boulder/Broomfield area as we get ready for our Fall Colorado Expo, OCT 2-4, 2014!
Tuesday, July 15th, 6:00 -10:00 p.m. at one of our favorite watering holes, The Walnut Room Pizzeria in Denver!
Never any cover charge and fun for all ages! Bring your axe (keys provided) and come play with us ad learn more about this year’s Expo.

PERFORMERS WANTED FOR MAKE MUSIC DENVER DAY – JUNE 21st
Any interested performers can sign up for an open stage slot, or take their act to the streets surrounding the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Workshops and sing-a-longs are open to all levels of musicians. Workshop topics include ukulele, guitar, harmonica, paper instrument-making, guitar-making, and a live podcast by Martin Gilmore.
