From Aaron Saye on Fb., 3/31/20: Today, on this day designated to celebrate transgender visibility, I want to say how proud I am of all my trans/non-binary/gender-nonconforming friends. You’re all beautiful, incredible beings and your bravery and authenticity is genuinely inspirational to me, and to so many others as well. No matter how far along you are in your journey, even if you don’t feel like you’ve started it yet, you’re real, you’re valid, and you deserve all the love and support in the world.

We should be celebrating gender diversity every day, not just one day a year.

A reminder to us all: Respect people’s pronouns. Respect and protect people’s lives. Be kind, be conscious and conscientious. If you lack understanding, be compassionate and empathetic, and keep your mind open to learning the knowledge and understanding that you lack. Everyone is fighting a battle you cannot see, and the only way to aid in these unseen battles is to be there for unconditional love and support when others need it.

Stay strong, friends. These times are very trying, but I know we’ll survive, especially when we have each other to lean on when support is needed.
