Hi, School of Rock Denver Students and Families! First of all, thanks so much for the tremendous outpouring of support from everyone over the past several weeks! We have finally gotten all of the details nailed down for our temporary location for the next few months- here is the info you’ll need to know, starting when we reopen for lessons and rehearsals on Monday, February 3:
NEW ADDRESS: 1145 Bannock St Denver, CO 80204
-This is a three-story building with the word “Maverick” on a sign over the front of the building.
-We will also have our School of Rock sandwich board sign out in front of the building.
SCHEDULE
~ We will be CLOSED for the move from MONDAY JANUARY 27TH thru SUNDAY FEBRUARY 2ND.
~ We will have limited access to phone and email during the week of the move, but will be checking it periodically each day.
~ We will REOPEN for regularly scheduled lessons and rehearsals at 1145 Bannock St on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 3rd.
PARKING
~ Please note that parking at the new location with be limited- the on-street parking on that block of Bannock St is meter-only, with a two-hour limit… the parking meter times end at 6P, and parking is free after that time. This includes Saturdays as well as weekdays.
~ There is FREE on-street parking available along 11th Ave just to the south of the school, with a two-hour limit before 6P, and no limit after 6P.
~ While there are a limited number of spaces available in front of the building, these will need to be used for dropping off/picking up students on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking in the small fenced lot behind the building will be reserved for SOR staff only.
~ The large parking lot across the street is by permit only, and unfortunately no public parking is allowed there.
We plan to be in the temporary space until our permanent location is built out in May, and will be providing updates on the progress of the buildout, including the location and specific info about the new facility, as it becomes available to release publicly. There is a chance that if the buildout is completed before then, we will be able to move into the permanent facility ahead of schedule, but for now we expect to do the entire Spring season in the temporary space at 1145 Bannock St, and then move into the permanent space after the Spring season shows are completed in May.
