In Colorado, a uniquely resonant performance space.

Silver Wave Records and The Tank Center for Sonic Arts are excited to announce the release of the first full length album recorded in The Tank to be released into worldwide mainstream distribution on an established record label. Alive Inside The Tank by Mysteries of the Night is a profound exploration of music making inside The Tank. It features James Marienthal on Native American and silver flutes, and Sarah Gibbons on vocals and percussion. Official release date was March 2, 2018.

The Tank Center for Sonic Arts is one of the most unique sound chambers in the world. It rivals famous cathedrals and other resonant spaces in the unusual way that it vibrates sound and draws out overtones from a single note. When music is played inside The Tank it takes on a life of its own. With this uncanny resonance and reverberation, every note is enhanced into a compelling swirling sea of sound. Mysteries of the Night brilliantly utilizes these effects with deep spacious flute tones, luxurious fluid vocals, and earthy percussive sounds that vibrate into the body and create a feeling of calm and connection. Alive Inside The Tank is a sensual, intimate, moving journey.

The Tank has a long and interesting history, but it is only in the past two years that it has become open to the public through the efforts of a non-profit group called Friends of The Tank, and the city council of the small town of Rangely in Western Colorado where it is located. Since this opening, The Tank has hosted numerous events and concerts and garnered high profile publicity such as a feature on CBS-TV Sunday Morning, and articles in New Yorker Magazine and The L.A. Times, plus regional press, radio, and TV coverage.

Silver Wave Records has been releasing innovative music to the world since 1986. They were pioneers in the growth of both New Age Music and Contemporary Native American Music, and its catalog has 5 Grammy winning recordings out of 10 nominations, and a plethora of INDIE Awards, Native American Music Awards, and many more. With Alive Inside The Tank, they are again forging new ground taking innovative sounds into the mainstream.

All sales proceeds will be donated to The Tank Center for Sonic Arts, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization offering educational and community programs. For more information visit
