Just turning the fader up, doesn’t always make something louder in the mix. So it’s funny when someone comes up, and says, “I can’t hear the vocals”, or guitar, or anything else for that matter.”Can you turn them up? ” Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Don’t YOU think I would if I could? And sometimes it’s best that I don’t!!! There are MANY reasons why you can’t hear the vocals, or whatever. The MAIN reason is CRAP in, CRAP out! You have to give me something to work with! It’s ALL about frequency blending! If you step on someone else’s frequencies, then they either cancel each other out or combine to create more problems!
