Our Next Program! April 22nd
CCOMBO’s Program Committee was tipped off to the number of stage, sound and lighting people in Colorado who can help you put on a a terrific show whether it be big or small! Chris “Tree” Williams, soundman at Fracos, and a member of Open Stage Denver, will be speaking as will Jason Abbott, formerly of Denver and now of Grand Junction, who has his own production company “A Stage For You”.
Both sound guys will be speaking at COMBO’s next Zoom meeting on Monday, April 22nd , starting at 7:00 p.m. They’ll give you some ideas for making sure you put your best act forward and/or putting on your own shows with the help of their professional experience and guidance. A Q&A session will be held after their talk.
The program will be moderated by COMBO member Jamie Krutz, asking some very intelligent questions of our speakers. And we want to thank COMBO board member Todd Caron for the idea and in setting this event up.
This is from Tree: I am happy to jump in on his meeting. I am really a musician and a sound-man. I have toured as a bassist, guitarist and sound-man for 30 years. Open Stage Denver, while still running one open mic night per week, is a concert and events production company. My specialty is live audio production for musicians and live audio recording. Check out our website to get an idea of what we really do. https://www.openstageDenver.com
Jason Abbott: You may remember Jason as the lead singer of Country-Rock band Swerve, an extremely popular band in the Denver area. Jason moved to Grand Junction to be closer to family and now sings with a band there, recently opening for Chris Cagle! Jason got into the sound & staging business to supplement his band income – and we all know how that goes anymore!
We’ll send the Zoom info out just before the program. Hope you can attend. After all, since the program will be presented by Zoom, you won’t even have to get dressed up!
