San Francisco’s Jinx Jones is bringing his “Twang-a-billy Explosion” show to the Oriental Theater for a one-night-only appearance on July 18th. Jones, originally from Denver, is well known for his gold and platinum records with R&B divas En Vogue, his playing with Chuck Berry, Solomon Burke, and Roy Buchanan, and his own acclaimed rockabilly albums.
Jinx Jones cut his teeth in the Denver music scene of the 1980s, and has since gone on to international success as one of the top guitarists in American roots music. The San Francisco Chronicle says: “Jinx is a guitar virtuoso who seamlessly moves from rockabilly to jazz to twang and back again, sometimes in the same song!” Jones’ July 18 performance promises to be a thrilling show with an all-star band of musical heavy-weights.
