I have a rather touchy question for my friends: Why is it that when charitable events are planned, the first professionals contacted to give of their time, talents and resources are musicians and bands? Do not get me wrong – I personally give to charitable causes that I believe in, but people always expect musicians to donate their services first above all others.
Here is my idea: The next time a charitable event comes up, I would love to donate the services of our 5 band members if 5 lawyers, 5 accountants, 5 doctors, 5 plumbers, 5 auto mechanics, and more, also give of their time, talents and resources for the duration of the same charitable event.
