Hello and Happy New Year! The City of Richardson, Texas, is excited to announce that the 2017 Performing Songwriter Contest for the Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival is now accepting entries. On a sad note, Al Johnson, the founder and manager of the Wildflower! Singer Songwriter Stage, passed away on December 26 after a long battle with cancer. Al was a longtime supporter of the song writing community and he will be missed by many. The Performing Songwriter Contest, the Song Writing Workshop and the Singer Songwriter Stage will continue in 2017 in Al’s memory.
