Rock 101 Camp – June 5th – 9th
This is the perfect opportunity for budding young rockers to learn the skills necessary to rock out in a band! We’ll cover important concepts such as listening to other musicians, starting/ending songs together, playing to a steady tempo, and staying together with the rest of the band, while learning popular rock songs and performing them in front of an audience! Open to young musicians who are just getting started on their instruments and have had a few lessons to learn the basics. Session I runs 9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m., M-F June 5th – 9th , with a concert in the evening on the final day of camp. Ages 7-11. Ability Level: Beginner

Pink Floyd Camp – July 10th – 14th
One of the most influential rock bands of all time, Pink Floyd brought together elements of blues and traditional English melodies, and combined them with outstanding musicianship and masterful arrangements to form a unique sound that is still shaping rock music five decades after their first release. At Pink Floyd Camp, we will explore their musical catalog from their earliest days of psychedelic bluesy art rock records such as Piper at the Gates of Dawn, Mettle and Animals through the classic tracks of The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon, and everything in between! This is a performance-based camp which will feature placement in a band setting, daily rehearsals and group instruction, and a fun end-of-camp concert open to the public. Camp runs 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., M-F July 10th -14th , with a concert in the evening on the final day of camp. Ages 10-18. Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced

Punk Rock Camp – July 24th – 28th
Strap on your Doc Martens and spike up your hair- it’s time for Punk Rock Camp! We’ll be exploring the whole lifetime of punk rock on both sides of the Atlantic- from the early days of British bands like the Clash and Sex Pistols, to their American counterparts the Ramones and The Stooges, as well as later bands such as Operation Ivy/Rancid, NOFX, and of course Green Day! This is a performance-based camp which will feature placement in a band setting, daily rehearsals and group instruction, and a fun end-of-camp concert open to the public. Open to players of all abilities, but basic competency on your instrument is highly recommended. Camp runs 9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m., M-F July 24th – 28th, with a concert in the evening on the final day of camp. Ages 10-18. Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate-Advanced

Rock of the ’80s – August 7th – 11th
From Synthpop to Hair Metal, the 1980’s were a decade of musical evolution as bands embraced new technologies in sound production and mass media. Fueled by the rise of MTV, artists such as Tears for Fears, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Madonna and Prince found a huge audience for their post-disco pop music, while at the same time established acts such as Genesis/Phil Collins, Tina Turner and Peter Gabriel continued their reinvention and hair metal acts such as Def Leppard, Whitesnake and Poison rose to prominence on the pop charts. Join School of Rock Denver as we explore the imprint that this wild decade left on the development of rock music! This is a performance-based camp which will feature placement in a band setting, daily rehearsals and group instruction, and a fun end-of-camp concert open to the public. Open to players of all abilities, but basic competency on each instrument is recommended. Camp runs 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., M-F August 7th-11th, with a concert in the evening on the final day of camp. Ages 10-18. Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate-Advanced
