This has been / is the most challenging birthday I’ve ever had. 11 years ago Miss Pattie had a stomach surgery that went south and I almost lost her then. This will be the last b-day I ever get to spend with her. My final prayer for my friend / my wife is that she goes to sleep and transitions peacefully, without pain and with the heart knowledge that she is loved beyond words. CELINE DION: PALE & SOMBER AFTER HUSBAND RENE ANGELIL’S AND HER BROTHER’S DEATHS
Celine has just had two heartbreaking losses, with both her husband and brother dying of cancer in a matter of days, and she looks understandably devastated.
Brave Celine was spotted getting on a plane to fly out of Las Vegas and back home to Montreal, Canada where her late husband Rene Angelil‘s funeral will take place on Jan. 22. She lost her “one and only boyfriend” to a long battle with throat cancer on Jan. 14 at age 73. As if that wasn’t a great enough loss for her, Celine’s 59-year-old brother Daniel Dion died from the same disease a mere two days later, on Jan. 16. We can’t imagine the amount of loss the talented songbird must be feeling right now.
Celine looked pale and exhausted as she boarded a plane home to give Rene his final farewell
… she’s still in mourning for her husband of 21 years. The “Because You Loved Me” singer was still able to muster up hugs from several friends a the airport.
