A few of my close friends know that last Friday my beautiful niece just 14 years old was shot 5 times in a senseless act of violence.. I wasn’t going to post anything but decided It might help to catch the suspect/killer. I decided to now that I know my niece is going to recover… She and her sister were at a party on bannock. They for one should not of been there but kids make mistakes..
But kids can’t go to a party and it be just that? So sickening. No sense at all and no care for peoples lives. One of the bullets went through her jaw inches away from her head. I guess a gang rolled in… Started yelling ‘code red’ and throwing up signs and began to shoot… 4 kids were hit. Two rushed to the trauma unit – one of them being my niece. She was unstable – in critical condition. They did 3 blood transfusions and several surgeries. She has survived by a pure miracle.
The other kid was not so lucky and was pronounced dead and the other two just had minor injuries. My heart goes out to the kid and the entire family. Poor child passed away that night. No words can explain how it felt to get this call and thinking your 14 year old niece may be… Blind. Paralyzed.. Dead.. Can she walk or talk anymore?? The answer is a resounding yes. Strong kid. Strong heart and didn’t deserve this. This experience will forever change our family.
I helped raise my nieces in many ways and they are close with my daughter. The piece of shit is still on the run. Please share and let’s get him in custody.
For those trying to get a hold of me I will be with my niece everyday until she is out of pediatric recovery division. She is expected to fully recover but will be a long process. She needs as much love and prayers the world can offer. I am beyond sickened. Saddened. And thankful that she will live through this. When times like this occur, it is about those who need you drawing on your strength. I will give all of my energy, power, mind and love for my little niece to draw on for her strength.
